The Operational Policy and Support section has talented and passionate people that work with key stakeholders internal and external to the Commission to ensure our regulatory practices enable our staff to undertake their roles, so we regulate in a way that drives improved aged care experiences for older Australians. The section operates in a fast-paced environment and provides diverse policy opportunities
About the Role
The APS 5 Policy Officer works in a small, dispersed team and with internal stakeholders to research, analyse, develop, implement and improve policy, processes and guidance.
The key duties of the position include
- Manage individual workload allocation of research and analysis to support the development and review of operational policy, processes and guidance material.
- Under broad direction, using plain language and Commission frameworks, develop, review and update less complex policy briefs, discussion papers, and internal operational policy and guidance.
- Organise and record meetings, and prepare project documents and communications with policy stakeholders
- Build and sustain positive relationships with team members and internal and external stakeholders.
- Support, guide and mentor APS4 policy officers.
