Job AUSTRAC Talent Register (Ongoing and Non-Ongoing), Blacktown

The key duties of the position include
AUSTRAC is the Australian Government's financial intelligence unit and anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing regulator. Our purpose is to build resilience in the financial system and use financial intelligence and regulation to disrupt money laundering, terrorism financing and other serious crime.
With government and industry partners, we use financial intelligence and regulation to:

• Prevent criminal abuse of the financial sector;
• Help business, government and law enforcement partners detect, deter and disrupt money laundering, terrorism financing and other serious crimes;
• Build and maintain trust and integrity in Australia's financial system.

AUSTRAC has three main divisions:

• Regulation and Reform - regulates, educates and communicates with our reporting entities to help them meet their legal anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing (AML/CTF) obligations
• Intelligence - develops and shares financial intelligence to stop financial crime and build capacity with partners
• Capability and Strategy - creates and drives the workforce strategy and organisational culture that supports and enables our people and processes to function seamlessly.

About the register
The Register will be utilised to fill both Ongoing and Non-Ongoing (temporary) vacancies, which may include full-time, part-time or casual roles, depending on our business needs. Applications from current APS employees are welcome and can be used for temporary or permanent transfers (at level).

• Be an Australian Citizen
• Be able to obtain and maintain the required AGSVA clearance
• Undertake pre-employment checks, such as security assessment
• Other conditions may be applied depending on the role and requirements
